Since 2023, we have been committed to developing the new webshop of Nyffenegger Armaturen AG based on the VELOX e-commerce foundation. Today, we are thrilled to announce the launch of the Webshop, code-named “Nyffox”, which marks an exciting new step in our journey to revolutionize B2B ecommerce. This is our very first completed webshop fully built on the microservices architecture, making it the fourth VELOX project we have delivered so far and marks a significant leap forward in terms of integration, functionality and user experience.

Nyffox is a state-of-the-art B2B webshop that integrates seamlessly with Nyffenegger's existing systems and offers customers an advanced, intuitive online shopping experience. Key features include:

• Real time price from ERP: Nyffox integrates directly with Nyffeneger’s ERP system, ensuring customers always see up-to-date, customer-specific pricing in real time.
• Business on Behalf - BOB: Sales team can create orders for customers directly within the webshop, streamlining the order process and improving overall efficiency.
• Modern look and feel: With a sleek, contemporary design, Nyffox offers an attractive and user-friendly interface, making the shopping experience both easy and enjoyable for customers.

The Nyffenger Webshop has been entirely developed in Switzerland, with our talented local team bringing the vision to life over a dedicated one-year development timeline. Throughout the process, we’ve collaborated with our trusted experts from TecHUB Swiss, ensuring each technical aspect of the platform meets the highest standards of performance and security.

Nyffox has been developed with the future in mind and has several powerful integrations:

• iFAS ERP system: by linking with iFAS, we have enabled real-time pricing calculations tailored to each customer, providing them with an accurate cost breakdown each time they visit the website.
• myCONTENT PIM system: With this integration, Nyffox efficiently shows product data and catalogue structures, ensuring that customers are presented with seamless, consistent product information.
• Storyblok Headless CMS: By integrating Storyblok, a flexible headless CMS, Nyffox benefits from a flexible and scalable content management system that improves the overall website experience.

Robust Infrastructure for Performance and Scalability

Running on the powerful AWS Cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes (k8s) orchestration, Nyffox is designed to scale continuously with Nyffenegger’s growing business needs. The system’s robust cloud architecture ensures the platform is fast, secure, and able to handle large volumes of traffic and transactions. The well architected infrastructure using AWS Control Tower, AWS CloudFront, and AI bases tooling like Guardduty ensure reliability and security. The infrastructure is fully implemented with the IaC (Infrastructure as code) principle using Terraform and GitOPS.

Operations of the Nyffenegger Webshop are managed by Sly, ensuring its ongoing performance, stability, and optimization. With our hands-on approach to maintenance and updates, customers can rest assured the platform will continue to evolve, with new features and enhancements rolled out regularly.
